Champions League player ratings: Bayern Munich v Manchester City
Hart – Pulled off a series of top class saves and was rightly furious with the lack of protection he received from those in front. 9
Richards – Although Ribery caused plenty of problems, Micah was arguably our best outfield player. Did his best to take the game to Bayern. 7
Kompany – A stalwart job given the lack of a midfield shield in front of him. Perhaps needs to exert more authority as captain. 6
K Toure – Picked up a knock at the beginning of the second half when the lack of match fitness was also taking it’s toll. Also beaten in the air on a couple of occasions. 5
Clichy – Aside from the criminal mistake of failing to cover the rebound for the opening goal, Gael put in another decent showing. Moved forward well, but didn’t always have the passing options he needed. 6
Barry (Kolarov 72) – Started well before fading badly. Failed to close down opponents quickly enough and there are huge question marks over his ability to play twice a week at the top level. 5
Y Toure – Like Barry, lacked the sharpness required to keep tabs on the Bayern midfield. Moved into an advanced role later on without improving. 5
Aguero – The jinking moves failed to come off and a lack of service left the Argentine peripheral. Ended up playing as the lone striker but lacks the strength to hold the ball up, so needs close support if he’s to do this. 6
Nasri (Milner 69) – Offered some nice touches early on, then struggled to get into the game. Also lacked a cutting edge to his play. 5
Silva – Started brightly, then had to spend too much time tracking back to cover colleagues. Only human afterall. 6
Dzeko (De Jong 54) – Wasted an early chance and from then on struggled to make an impression. The uncharacteristic unhappiness at coming off is likely to be a one-off. 5
Subs:
De Jong – Didn’t look match fit and wasn’t able to give us the midfield control we needed. 5
Milner – His energy was a welcome sight. Could have done with it in central midfield rather than on the flank. 6
Kolarov – Playing in an advanced role, at least Aleks was able to get a couple of shots away. 6
Man of the match: Carlos… only joking, Joe Hart.

why oh is city disgrace like this. bayern didn’t have quality than us. it just shows that we are scare because of the name CL. and as for Tevez he is done. if he had come on the match . we might steal something from the match. because there was a positive sign before Dzeko to sub
