Amidst all the jubilation after Sunday and todays papers being full of Tevez once again, it’s easy to forget that City have a Carling Cup game tonight. Fortunately Roberto Mancini isn’t one to be distracted from the job in hand.
It’s a real shame that Owen Hargreaves has picked up a calf strain as it would have been great to see him feature both tonight and on Saturday. Maybe Mancini will now give de Jong a run out to improve his match sharpness.

So much for the scarf Roberto. A promising start culminated in a penalty for Adebayor before Wolves came roaring back to consign City to a second consecutive league defeat.
Afterwards everyone pointed to the absence of Carlos Tevez. Are we really a one man team? Not quite, as after taking the lead we missed Nigel de Jong just as much as the captain.

Following last week’s disaster, in terms of result if not performance, it’s imperative for Roberto Mancini to get a result in the Midlands. With Wolves struggling, City will be looking for a win to ensure they remain in the top four.
The big news is the absence of Carlos Tevez. That should mean a return to the starting line-up for Emmanuel Adebayor, though Mancini has spoken of starting Balotelli. No doubt this will have the Togolese sweating on his place, though Mario may play on the left flank in the old Bellamy role.
