Having not been around for Malcolm Allison’s first spell at the club, there’s going to be plenty of tributes for the legend from those better able to recall his time with the club in the 60’s and early 70’s. (This is a good one by Four Four Two)

My own memories are of seeing Big Mal’s return to the club in the late 70’s. Personally I loved having the opportunity to see him at the helm. His subsequent return as Palace manager was typically dramatic and emotional. It’s a part of my childhood that will always be treasured.
